Fun & Delicious!
I spotted this kit at Publix the week before Independence Day and having previously used one of their kits with my mom and sister on Mother’s Day, decided to make a bit of a holiday tradition of it and grabbed one.
We were not disappointed! The decorating takes a little bit of figuring out the way that works best for you, but the video tutorials help you get a solid start and the instructions are very clear.
Even if you have no artistic talent, or are just in more of a hurry to eat them than decorate them, and they don’t come out looking quite the way they do on the box, it doesn’t matter because they are still delicious! You can just eat them all and get rid of the evidence, lol. The price is great for the quality and quantity of supplies you get too.
Best of all, they are free of several allergens and support a wonderful cause! My sister is currently nursing and is unable to have any dairy because her baby has a dairy allergy. She’s had a heck of a time finding foods she can safely eat and many treats and desserts are off limits, so these kits have been extra fun for her! We make the first cookie our “tester” because we know she’s not going to be able to resist eating it almost as soon as it’s done.
For those of us who enjoy our treats a bit slower, they keep very well in the box for at least 3 days after decorating. I don’t know how much longer they would keep though, that’s the longest they’ve lasted around here before being gone!
